Step 1 – Free Initial Consult
Conducted by one of our Directors, not a sales person. This meeting is for us to fully understand your dreams, needs and wants for your project. We listen, ask, observe, measure, answer questions, advise and clarify (yes, there’s a checklist and we always follow the process!).
To make sure we have understood we send you a Reverse Brief within 24 hours to make sure we really did listen and understand. The Reverse Brief is written as if we were in your shoes – it’s a proven technique used by marketing and advertising companies for years and a great way to avoid misunderstandings. Most builders sadly don’t use it.
Further, we will give you some documents with helpful information and tips that most of our clients find very useful when at the early stage of thinking about their renovation or build.
Step 2 – Planning and Concepts
The design team turn the brief into concept plans so you can easily visualise what the project will look like. Unlike traditional architects or franchise design & build companies, our Head Builder and Project Manager will also be involved in the design to ensure concepts are not just aesthetically pleasing but functional and cost effective to build. This is one of the ways we save you money – cost-effective design.
This stage will also provide suggestions/options for you to consider, estimated costs, timings and cover any risks/concerns. There will usually be several revisions based on your feedback – this is the time to get it right as changes later can become costly.
Step 3 – Working Drawings and Detailed Costs
Final decisions are made. Detailed plans, timelines and costings are finalised and vetted by an independent quantity surveyor. We are confident you will find our costs highly competitive.

Once agreed, plans are submitted for Council approvals and building contracts are then drawn up.
Step 4 – Construction
Your Project Manager will focus on managing the budget, timelines and quality of the work whilst being your sole contact point for regular communication and updates.
The build team will focus on their craft and the quality of their work.
With nearly 100 suppliers, professionals and sub-contractors involved in a major build, the Project Manager and Head Builder will work closely together to ensure Assure’s Quality Control process, unique in the industry, is rigorously followed.
During this time you will have full access to Zeus, our online project portal, which provides full visibility and transparency of the build.
Step 5 – Completion and After-Care
Our job does not end when the project ends. Aftercare contact details are provided for any minor defects that may appear over time for us to fix for free as part of our guarantee. You receive all warranties and guarantees with contacts and detailed instructions to ensure they remain valid for their lifetime.
We also provide a download of the entire Zeus client portal – designs, plans, Quality Control documentation, etc. So if you ever need to match paint you will know exactly which brand, colour code and paint finish was used on which surface. If you want to hang paintings on walls, you have photographs of the exact location of wiring and plumbing to avoid an expensive mishap with a drill. Or if you want further renovation work in the future, you have the exact “as built plans” to save time and further professional fees.
